Blue Lab's American-style stout offers a moderate, roasted malt flavor derived from an array of crystal malts, black malt and roasted barley. It's not too sweet and not too dry. You'll enjoy the hop aroma, flavor and bitterness that are balanced by a mild, malt sweetness.
Brewed with eight different malts and at an elevated mash temperature, the Blue Lab Baltic Porter has a malty sweetness with hints of caramel, coffee and molasses at the beginning followed by a slightly spicy, dry finish at the end. It's a full bodied beer that will warm you up on a cold, crisp night.
Brewed in a rustic farmhouse style, this light and refreshing citrus flavor derives from the Belgian yeast. Orange peel and rose hips offers a crispness with a slight tart finish that is thirst quenching and satisfying. Garnish with a slice of lemon or orange.
Locally made apple-butter from the Effinger Volunteer Fire Department is the special ingredient in this winter favorite. The cinnamon and clove flavors mean that our Christmas Ale doesn't taste like a high-gravity beer. Warning - this has a tendency to sneak up on you!
Coffee Chocolate Stout
BLBC Coffee Chocolate Stout uses four specialty malts to produce subtle coffee and chocolate flavors. We enhance those with the addition of cold-brewed Lexington Coffee Roasters organic French Roast and bittersweet chocolate from Cocoa Mill Chocolatier. The coffee flavor comes through at the beginning and the chocolate and bitterness finish it off.
Fresh Hop Ale
Using our Blue Lab IPA as the base, this green hop ale is brewed with a large dose of freshly picked Cascade hops from Lexington Valley Vineyards and Chinook hops from Bill's backyard. This pale ale is a hop lover's dream - not too bitter but tons of citrusy flavor and aroma.
Green Chile Ale
Our Green Chile Ale is a not-so-pale ale with a kick on the finish. This beer starts as a lightly hopped pale ale, but the addition of roasted New Mexico green chiles at the end of the boil gives a touch of color and a nice spicy finish. It's a great answer to summer heat and can be enhanced with a slice of lime.
This summer wheat style is the perfect thirst quencher for the sultry days and nights of a Southern summer. Brewed in a traditional German-style, our Hefeweizen features notes of banana and clove. Some cloudiness and carbonation should be expected. This beer is great on its own or with a slice of lemon.
Imperial India Pale Ale
Generously hopped throughout the entire brewing process, from the boil to the fermenter, the BLBC Imperial IPA has plenty of aroma, flavor and bitterness. A combination of five hop varieties, three malts and tulip poplar honey make this a satisfying beverage that packs a kick.

India Pale Ale
Our flagship IPA is not a tounge-splitter but remains true to the original style of an English India Pale Ale with just enough residual sweetness to moderate the alcohol and hop bitterness. This is an easy drinking IPA that is still satisfying to the IPA aficionado.
Irish Red Ale
Centered on malt character, the Blue Lab Red Ale is brewed with a blend of Pale Ale and Maris Otter base malts combined with just the right amount of crystal malts and roasted barley to achieve the intense red color. A light hop profile comes from British hop varieties and gives it a sweet-dry finish.
A Marzen-style lager with a dash of extra malt to enrich the flavor and to achieve a deep, orange color. Our Oktoberfest has a well-balanced malty sweetness with a touch of Noble hop bitterness at the end. The lager yeast provides an overall clean, refreshing finish.
Available: late September-November
Our Blue Lab Pale Ale is brewed using a technique called First Wort Hopping to achieve a well-balanced bitterness and a deep hop flavor with plenty of aroma. This beer has a good mouth feel with just the right amount of hop bitterness and is an easy drinking beer any time of the year.
Strong Irish Red Ale
The Strong Irish Red is triple the bitterness and almost double the ABV of our regular Irish Red. Using a slightly higher mash temperature and some additional base and crystal malt provides enough residual sweetness to balance out the hops and extra alcohol.
Summer Blonde Ale
The Summer Blonde Ale is an easy drinking beer that's the color of straw and perfect for hot summer days. A low alcohol content makes this a good one to quench your thirst and drink all evening.
A British style Pale Ale, the Special Bitter carries more malt flavor than our standard Pale Ale.
